Our varied lunch and dinner menu includes traditional appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, pastas and entrees. In addition to the Italian favorites we receive accolades for our signature Cheese Fritters, our Flame Grilled Portobello Mushroom Salad, our Cedar Wood Roasted seafood and pork-chops and our aged, Choice, Black Angus steaks. We use the best ingredients available, including the freshest produce, meats, seafood and cheeses, like the world famous Grana Padano parmesan cheese.

Each restaurant has an extensive wine list with numerous wines from both the new and old world are offered by the glass or by the bottle.

Amerigo is concerned about the health of our guests and that is why we cook with trans-fat free oils, prepare our many recipes from scratch and are happy to accommodate special dietary needs. Amerigo is also kid friendly, offering a wide selection of items your children are sure to enjoy.

Corporation and Management

Amerigo Restaurant Corporation was founded under Mississippi law in 1987 to develop Amerigo Restaurants. Bill Latham, an established restaurateur in Jackson, Mississippi, was co-founder and chief executive officer of Amerigo Restaurant Corporation. Al Roberts, also a co-founder, served as chief operating officer and corporate chef.

In 2006, Amerigo Restaurant Corporation was acquired by Vivid Restaurant Concepts LLC located in Nashville, Tennessee. The new leaders, David Blackburn, Chief Executive Officer and Paul Schramkowski, Vice President of Food, Beverage and Marketing, each have over 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry working within organizations such as Houston’s Restaurants Incorporated, Green Hills Grille and Cooker Restaurants.

Training

Amerigo places a great deal of emphasis on training. The wait staff is typically energetic and enthusiastic. Each new employee completes our extensive training program designed to ensure consistent quality product and service. A policy of promoting from within the organization helps Amerigo recruit and retain qualified employees.

Polices and procedures for kitchen and wait staff are standardized in training and operations manuals.
